Am I really HERE?!

So here are some pics of the town on our way to the hotel and some shots from our hotel.

So this is from our first day here!

~ Wakiki Beach, right across the street from our hotel! Freakin sweet.
~ A tree that was HUGE. These root looking things grow down from the branches and become like a trunk. Crazy but awesome looking.
~ Cheesburger in Paradies, first place we ate. served with a slice of pineapple, SO GOOD!
~ View one of our first sunset.
~ View from our hotel balcony, GORGEOUS, Beautiful!
~ Some really cool ukulala players on the street. There were tons of different people out there, really fun. The cool part were different guys dressed up as statues! Fun times.
~ The beach at night, awww how romantic.... too bad none of us were there for that. And I never found a cabana boy. :(
~ View two of our first sunset.
~ The three babes of the trip with our flowers on the right side, single side!

Desination - HAWAI'I (11-16-2005)

3:30 AM
- Woke up to get dressed to get to the airport by 5:00 AM!!!
- We arrived at 5:04 and were denied access to check our luggage because we were 4 min late for checking luggage 30 min. before boarding. Therefore were not allowed to board the plane. We were suppose to leave at 6:00 AM to head to Chicago and then head to Hawai'i getting us in at 3:30 PM Hawai'i time.

- We were transferred over to the 10:00 AM flight, direct from Dallas to Honolulu getting in at 2:30 PM! Let me just inform you that we are flying standby the whole time, there and back. This is why we are moved around and dressed up, in case we get first class! (eyebrows moving up and down with a smile.)

9:45 AM (Me, Marki, Michael)

- Finally boarded the plan in the LAST seats open to the public, row 43!! (all dressed up for first class and get last class)

We are still happy though, because we are GOING TO HAWAI'I!!!
(doing a little dance in my seat!)

- Between the bathrooms w/many visitors
- NO WINDOWS
- Are we seriously that far back?
- First class looks so nice
- Well at least we get two movies to watch
(Hitch and October Skies)

(Lucky Jason and Amanda got a window seat)

- They definitely look happier than the three of us.
- Don't you agree?
- 8 hours and 3,000+ miles later we arrive!

There would be pics but remember, we didn't a window seat.
(not bitter, no, because I am still in HAWAI'I!)

ALOHA!

So I went to Oahu, Hawai'i two weeks ago and haven't had time AT ALL to post my pics and tales of my most magnificent time there. I am hoping to have time this week since we only have one test and it's tomorrow. Thanks for being patient, I am having to be as well because I REALLY want to get these up so share/gloat about it. I finally have pics of a BE -E - A Utiful place I went instead of getting to be jealous looking at all the wonderful places "photo-a-day" gets to go. (so lucky -I am so jealous) So soon and very soon. {makes me think of a song. : ) }

Movie critique `=-

That is suppose to look like a video camera. Hope you can see it. : )

The movie is "Prime."
It is about the 37 year old lady dating her therapist's 23 year old son. Very funny and pretty good. The only thing I was a little caught off guard was the reality of the ending. To not give it away, I will do my best to explain myself. Movies usually end in traditional, mostly not-so-real ways, right? Well this one ended in a way that pertains mostly to what might actually happen in real life and THAT's what caught me off guard. I didn't care for it and I don't think it or life should be that way. It's just not right.

You should really see the movie because it IS quite HILARIOUS and very good. So enjoy but know the ending is a catchy one. Please let me know what you thought about it if you have seen it.

Learn a Lesson!

This might sound like a good idea to some, at least to me it did, but IT'S NOT!

I went walk/jogging this evening and had my cd player (yes still old school) in one hand and water bottle in the other, so where do I put my door key? I have no pockets but (*ding-light off in head*) I DO have a draw string on my pants! "Sweet," I thought, "That is perfect!" I am jogging and walking along and checking my key ever so often, also hearing it clink against the plastic on the tip of the string (like the tip of a shoe lace-plastic) every once in a while. It took me 15 min. to get to the park and I walk/jogged till I had about 41 min. of time to head back (knowing I would be tired and not jog some of the way and walk slower). I head back and get all the way BACK to my apt. complex and look down to notice my draw string is partially untied and THERE IS NO KEY!!!!!
Needless to say, I turned around and retraced my steps - ALL THE WAY back to the park, ALL THE WAY around the track and ALL THE WAY back home - and no key. I prayed the whole time, "God please just let it be out in plain sight. Please just let me find it even if it's after I have walked a mile around the track again and am back at the apt. Please, Please!"
Nope, no key after an hour extra of walking. (Man my butt is going to be lookin gooooood!) - oh...well it will take more than that. : ) ANYways.....
I was trying to figure out what to do. My neighbors are all gone and the only thing I can think of is my kitchen window is cracked.

*Side note*
I just finished telling my dad this weekend that my window is safe to be cracked because there are two panes and the way one latches you can't get in.
*End note*

LUCKILY I was wrong, and it was easy to get in through my window. Glad, because I had plans to go out and didn't have my phone to call and cancel or be late. From now on, though, the WINDOW IS SHUT!

So the moral of the story is:

  • DON'T go walking with your key tied to your draw string, just put it under your mat.
  • DON'T leave your kitchen window open thinking no one can/would get in unless you have tried it yourself.
  • Thank the Lord for making you naive at times in your life because it might just be that very thing to get you through a situation that seems to have no entrance.

*haha funny thought, "When God closes a door, He opens a window.) HILARIOUS!!! What a sense of humor The Big Guy in the Sky has. I know He sure gets a LOAD of laughs off of me and my life. I sure do!

Take care and be aware!

L(eye)fe???

wanted a picture and found this and tied it in as best "eye" could. GET IT! : )

I have no life....and yet... no time for a life.

Ironic?!

I think not.

The life of a student doctor?

I think so.

281 days and that life will be over and it will be DOCTOR life!

"Where," you say? ~ only GOD knows.

so much for taking a break on blogging....that's why I say I have no life. Everyone else only updates there like every other week/month. I'm a cool kid-YEAH! (high side pony tail bob.)

Faith in a box

"Oh ye of little faith"

- I am ye.
