MY NEPHEW IS HERE!!!!

Yesterday morning at 6:30am Jessica's water broke. Her contractions started around 7:30am and she soon progressed to four centimeters by 10:30am. She stayed around a four and five till 2:30pm and then started progressing. By 3:00pm she was ready to push. They checked her and she was at a ten and ready to deliver. The nurse got her into position and she pushed long and hard like a trooper for a good hour and a half. The baby's head was not progressing down the pelvis very fast and Jessica was given the option to push another 30 minutes and see how he progresses or to get a c-section. She was so tired from working so hard and getting no where that she was taken in for a c-section. About an hour or so later here she came with Steve and baby Davian!!

Born at 5:44pm
7 lbs, 5 oz
20" long

Long toes and fingers and SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

What a strange turn of events?!

So as I mentioned before I had the interview in Missouri yesterday, Wednesday, and Andrew had a few as well. Let me recap a bit and let you know how this has all gone down.....

So two weeks ago Andrew and I got back from PA where I had a great interview but was uncertain if this is where I needed to be. I had only one other prospect in VA in two weeks (this week) that would seal my fate of where I would be, and Andrew finding nothing in these places. So we got in around 4:30 Wednesday evening, I had a patient at 6:30 and then the rest of the evening is history. Thursday morning my patient cancels and so I was home with Jess and my phone rings. It is a doctor in St. Joseph MO who is an ALL Activator technique office with some other specialties and is so swamped she can't see all the patients wanting to come in, by herself and needs help ASAP. So I tell her I can go see her practice in two weeks (substituting this for the VA trip and post poning that one till further notice). It sounded great, check out the website to her clinic "Activate Your Health" and set up the travel plans.

She has a Christian atmosphere in her clinic and talked to her staff ladies and her patients about me coming and Andrew looking for a youth position in a church, Methodist if possible. So with the help of some staff and a few patients, Andrew had 3 different people to talk to when we got there, one possibly two with a Methodist church!

So Andrew sends Dr. Sivi his resume to send to the Baptist guy to interview with and then hears from her patient that Ashland UMC is looking and actually the Tuesday we fly in the district supervisor is there interviewing for the youth position for the church. (Now tell me this is not just happening as easy as pie and things aren't just rolling into place?) So Dr. Sivi gives her a copy of Andrews resume and she takes it to the church. The pastor calls Andrew and sets up a meeting time with him on Tuesday night after we fly in, and after they have interviewed with the other two guys they have flown in for the position.

Our flight is suppose to leave Dallas Love to Oklahoma City to Kansas City and we get there by 7:30 to get Andrew to the interview by about 8:15pm. And wouldn't you know the weather is bad in Houston and they can't hold the flight in OKC any longer so we get moved to the direct flight from Dallas to KC that leaves at 8:45pm and gets in at 10:25pm!!! So no interview. They agree to an evening interview with Andrew Wednesday at 7:00pm.

So Wednesday comes and I spend all day with Dr. Sivi and run around chasing her through the many patients and new exams. Then we did lunch and talked salary and bonuses with the growth of the clinic, etc. And Andrew had lunch with Joe from the Baptist church and then gets toured around St. Joe by Pastor Jon, from the Methodist church. Things go well and Andrews interview is over by 8:00pm. I went to dinner with Dr. Sivi and her husband and she offered me the position if I wanted it and I said most definitely, this seems like the place I was meant to be. We get done and go pick up Andrew to show him the clinic and show me the town till he hears back from the pastor.

10:30 rolls around and he gets a phone call saying they have made a decision but wanted everyone to sleep on it and see if there are any change of feelings by 9:00 this morning and then he would call and let Andrew know the results, and asks if I go my job. (so we are still unsure what is the outcome but pretty sure he got it because of how amazing everything has just fell into being through all of this.)

We leave the hotel and our flight is delayed from 8:30 to 9:35 from KC to Tulsa, OK. So we were thinking we would hear from Pastor Jon before we left but no call. We arrived in Tulsa at 10:30 and Andrew turned on his phone, between the 10min to our next flight, and had a message. I awaited anxiously to any facial sign of a result. And after a few minutes, that seemed like forever, he shakes his head yes with a huge grin. HE GOT THE JOB!!! He said he wanted to listen to it again to make sure, and so I listened to it after and it said, "yahda yahda yahda, we are glad your girlfriend was offered her position and we would like to do the same for you and offer you the position here at Ashland UMC!"

OH MY GOSH~ WE ARE MOVING TO ST. JOSEPH MISSOURI!!! In a month we will be there. How much more amazing could this trip and few days have been for Andrew and I, who have been stressing and fighting about finding something we both like and want and the town and area we both want and blah blah blah..... IT IS HERE!!

Andrew and I are having such a time with this because, for those of you who know anything much of our lives together, it has been anything but smooth sailing and easy as pie situations and to have something like this, so HUGE, just kind of handed to us on a silver platter almost effortlessly...... WOW... and I truly mean.....wow.

So this is the beginning of my life~our lives

What is the movie?

So I have been racking my brain on this one for a long time. There is a movie out there, quite some time old, that focuses on the movement of the trees, them moving all together. As if the movement is talking, a force. I can't for the life of me remember what the movie is. It also deals with someone important in the movie dying, I think. So if anyone out there knows, PLEASE please help me.

My trip to PA

Andrew's mother's parents had their 50th wedding anniversary. It was a huge celebration all weekend over the 4th. Lots of people I didn't know and a few I did, which was nice in making it not so uncomfortable. Andrew and I flew from Dallas to Milwaukee (layover) then onto Pittsburgh. He left with his dad and his sister's boyfriend, Kevin. I stayed to catch my flight to Philadelphia for my job interview the next day. As the blog before, the interview was really great. The offer is very tempting and will be a hard decision after my interview in Missouri next week. That night I flew back to Pittsburgh and spent the rest of the four days around the New Castle area.

The fireworks on the forth were amazing. We went with Andrew's dad's parents to a high school parking lot to watch them and it ended up you could see five different fireworks shows from the different places around. One area had what looked like a grand finale for 10 minutes! It was so great. And one of my favorite parts was the lighting bugs. We don't have those around here and so it's so awesome to look out on someone's yard or a filed and see the light spots floating around. Awwww....

So Wednesday morning Andrew and I headed back home the same way through Milwaukee and back to Dallas. I took pictures of the clouds because it looked so neat. One is while we are about to fly over Lake Michigan, which looks like the ocean, so big. and the others are from the storm clouds around Texas that we just missed when we landed. Meaning, we landed and pulled into the terminal and it started to rain.

That is my fourth of July trip and pictures. Hope you enjoy. :) The clouds are my fav.

The end. and yet the scary beginning

So last Friday I found out I passed my fourth National Boards which means

I AM NATIONALLY BOARD CERTIFIED!!!!!

I went to a job interview in PA and it went really well. The office was amazing and I would learn tons and have a great opportunity to learn how a high volume practice is ran very efficiently, along with a great office staff plan.

My next endeavor is to MO for a job offer there that is more along the lines of what I would want my own office to be. Her site is www.activateyourhealth.net

Prayers for the decision. I will keep you updated.

For clinic I need 4 physical exams and 30 adjustments then I am outie!!! Yippie.

~I will add pics from my trip in a few days~
